Lex came home from school yesterday and told Dax he had bug bites on his belly. He had about a dozen bumps, but nothing too strange. Well this morning he woke up with swollen lips and the rash covering his torso and spreading toward his extremities. So we went to the pediatrician and she said she was sending us to the hospital. Since the sores are on his face and on and in his mouth they are concerned. He has been admitted to Phoenix Children's Hospital for at least the night while they do some blood tests to try and figure out what's going on. Dax is spending the night since I have to feed Maddox. He has already been given a blessing and doesn't seem to be uncomfortable except the itching and boredom. We'll keep you up to date as we find more out. Just please remember Lex in your prayers. We are so grateful Laura is here helping us. She has been such a blessing. We love you all. Azure
Poor Lex! I feel so sad for him. If we lived closer I would bring him Preston's Gameboy for entertainment. I hope he feels better soon. You will all be in our prayers! Please let us know as soon as you hear something!
