I'm also thankful...

Well, as usual, I'm late with my post. Better late than never though, right?!

I'm thankful that Marcie started this blog so that we can all get occasional glimpses into what's going on with everyone else.

I'm thankful for the shot I got (in my bum) yesterday that is finally helping me get over my strep throat, sinus infection, now bronchitis! Modern medicine has really been my friend since early October!

I'm thankful for the yummy vanilla caramel hot chocolate I'm drinking while I type this. (Silly, I know, but it's really yummy - come on over and I'll make you one!)

Like Marcie, I'm so grateful for sisters who are now my very best friends. Bet Mom and Dad prayed we would all get along someday. Again, better late than never. All those years of bickering as teenagers are behind us. Now we get to just laugh about it.

I'm grateful for Mom and Dad, and so grateful that we still have them both. We always miss Scott's dad, but holidays give us an extra pang of missing him, and making me grateful for our parents. I'm grateful for the good example Mom and Dad have set for us in so many area. They're a great example of marriage, of supporting each other, of staying strong and faithful in the gospel, and so much more.

I'm grateful for the gospel and for my Savior. The atonement is a wonderful thing. I've learned (and keep learning) that it works for us not only when we mess us, but also when we've been wronged. It can help take away the hurt of both.

I'm thankful that Scott has a job (even if he doesn't like it or his boss). With so many people out of work, we are grateful for the income (and the health insurance!).

I'm also just generally grateful for Scott. He works hard and takes great care of our family. I'm grateful for three beautiful, healthy children. I'm grateful that Scotlyn and Brayden are so wonderful with Boston, and that they help so much with him. He adores them.

I'm grateful for Scott's family. His sisters and mom have also become some of my dearest friends.

I'm grateful we put up our Christmas lights last weekend when it was 70 degrees instead of waiting until today when it's 30 degrees (burrr).

There's a lot more, but I'll end by saying again how grateful I am for all of you. I REALLY miss you so much, especially during the holidays. We were invited to spend Thanksgiving with friends again this year (which I'm also grateful for - that, and not having to cook a turkey), but it's not the same as being with family. I'll be really grateful when we can all get together again!

Love you all sooooooo much!
