Funny conversation!

The following is a conversation Preston and I had after he came home from school yesterday.
Preston: "Mom, did you know we have Monday off from school."
Me: "Yes I did."
Preston: "I'm so excited for Blue Thirteen Day!"
Me: "Huh?"
Preston: "That's why we're off of school. We learned all about Blue Thirteen today and we even sang a song about him. Monday is Blue Thirteen's birthday!"
Me: "Do you (hahaha) mean (hahaha) Martin Luther King (hahahaha)?"
Preston: "Huh?"
Me: "His name is Martin Luther King, not Blue Thirteen!" (still laughing way to hard to be polite!)
Preston: "Oh............ really? I said Blue Thirteen all day."
So, from all of us Whatcott's to the rest of you, "Happy Blue Thirteen Day (a few days early)!"

  1. Awesome! I love how kids are never as embarrassed by things as we adults would be. Garrett got sick at school a couple of months ago (threw up in his backpack and again in the hallway). It didn't phase him a bit. I on the other hand was secretly mortified for him, and for myself because his wonderfully kind teacher totally cleaned out his barfy backpack. And the poor janitor! I don't think he gets paid enough.

  2. Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3, testing!
