Jared plays basketball at the church one night a week. About a week before Eli was born Jared came home from basketball and told me he was pretty sure he was going to have a black eye. His main concern - "I don't want to have a black eye in our pictures after Eli's born." As you can see from the pictures above he did indeed have a black eye. I think it adds character. What do you think?
He gets a black eye from basketball once every couple of years. The really awkward part is that people at work will never ask him how he got his black eye. So instead they get to speculate about what happened. I'm always curious how many of them think he got in a fight....
