New house

I've been meaning to post pictures of the new house. I was waiting to take pictures until the house was "clean". I used that as motivation today to do some cleaning and take some pictures. So here is a tour. Unfortunately my pictures all uplaoded from the end to the beginning, so this will be a backwards tour.

A close up of the tile in the master bath - one of my favorite details of the house.

This is a picture of the elementary school our kids go to - picture taken from our loft. The trail leads all the way to the playground and they don't have to cross any streets to get to school. The first couple weeks they started walking on their own I would watch them from my kitchen to make sure they got there okay. We LOVE living so close to the school.

Laundry room - it's really a laundry closet. I love having it upstairs.

This is what the laundry "room" looks like with the doors shut.

Our loft - one of our favorite rooms in the house.

Riley & Eva's room. Mom, notice the dool on the right bed. Look familiar? A new blonde haired, blue eyed girl has adopted that doll you made so many years ago.

Garrett and Reagan's room. We intended to give Garrett his own room when we moved. We asked him to sleep in Reagan's room the first couple nights in the house to help her adjust. They enjoy sharing a room so we decided to keep him in there.

The 4th bedroom, also known as the guest room, play room, or book room depending on who you talk to.

One of my favorite parts of the house - the pantry.

Kitchen

Kitche plus eating area

My desk - it's usually covered in papers :)

Family room. Our walls are all really bare because all our art work/pictures/mirrors are still at the other house - along with our living room furniture.

The bench in our mud room opens on both sides for shoe storage. I love it but am trying to figure out how to make it less smelly.

Entry

The office, which has no office furniture in it. It currently houses our basketball hoop we got for Christmas - it's been too cold to put it up outside.

Our dining room as modeled by Reagan and a giant balloon. I'll have to share a funny story about that balloon in a different blog post.

Front of the house. I wasn't in love with the color at first but now I like it. It's unique and makes the house really easy to find. When giving directions we say, "Just look for the orange house." And yes we know it's not really orange, more terra cotta or rust.

And that concludes the tour. We are loving the house and love that it's a home we can grow into as our kids become teenagers.
