Snow Days

Well, my kids are enjoying the snow. Brayden and Boston like playing in it, and Scotlyn just likes that it has meant no school. I don't think she has gotten dressed in 2 days.

Here are a few pictures. I know it's not much compared to what some places get, but with no equipment to clear roads, the entire area has shut down. You can't tell in the pictures, but after the snow we had some freezing rain and sleet, so there is literally a 1/4 inch thick sheet of ice over the top of the snow. I've never seen anything quite like it.

Solid ice about 1/2 inch thick on the driveway.

Boston loves to put on his boots and go play in the snow. He doesn't even fuss about putting on his coat, hat and gloves. He can also last a lot longer than I can in the cold.

The view from our front porch.

Yesterday some kids in the neighborhood were out on their four-wheelers. They rode up and down the street for a while, then decided to make things even more fun by tying a boat tube to the back of the four-wheeler and pulling each other up and down the street.
