On Sunday, Preston was making his birthday wish list. Yes, I know that his birthday is 3 1/2 months away, but apparently he likes to be prepared. Preston wrote "puppy" on his list. When he showed it to me he said, "Mom, I really want a foundation!"
Another "Huh?" moment for me. "Do you mean Dalmation, Preston?"
Then the "Mom, you have no idea what you are talking about" stare followed.
The funny part is that they have been learning How Firm A Foundation in primary. We're trying to decide if he thought they were singing about a puppy this whole time.
Also on Sunday, Preston and Ashtyn were playing musical chairs. Now, their version of musical chairs is, one chair, both of them circling it, and Ashtyn providing the music by humming. Amazingly, the music always seems to stop when Ashtyn is right in front of the chair. Preston finally caught on and said they had to play Rock, Paper, Scissors to see who really won.
Ashtyn and Preston together: "Rock, Paper, Scissors"
Preston puts out scissors. Ashtyn puts out paper (or at least that's what it looked like).
Preston starts celebrating. "I won, I won!"
Ashtyn: "No you didn't! I did rock. Rock crushes scissors."
Preston: "You did not! I saw! You put out paper!"
Ashtyn: "No! That was a flat rock!"
I thought they were pretty funny! Hopefully you got a chuckle at my kids expense too!

That is funny. Dalmatian/Foundation, what's the difference? And Ashtyn sounds like a smart girl. Maybe she'll grow up to be a geologist.
