Cherry tree

The new house has a sour cherry tree in the backyard. The kids were so excited to help harvest the cherries.

Here's our haul from the first day of picking. Sadly after pitting you realize that half the cherry is pit and that it takes A LOT of cherries to make a pie.


But man is it worth it! We have enough cherries in the freezer for two more pies. And if you get a piece then you know that means we really, really like you.
