Expecting A Call

Preston asked me a few days ago, "Mom, what does H-E-A-D stand for?"

"It spells head, Preston."

"I know that Mom! (eye roll included!) But what does it stand for?"

"Nothing. It just spells head."

"But Miss Johnson says she has H-E-A-D."

.....Pause..."Preston, do you mean ADHD?"

"Oh yeah! That's it!"

"Did she tell the whole class she has ADHD or just you?"

"Just me, while I was doing my seat work." (translation: while he was not doing his seat work because everything in the room was more interesting.)
